THE FUTUR MUSEE L

INVENTION. DIALOGUE. QUITE AN ART !
The future museum will make its home at Place des Sciences in Louvain-la-Neuve, at the heart of the former Science and Technology Library. The public opening is scheduled for spring 2017. The museum’s artworks, objects from different civilisations and scientific inventions will present a view of humans as creators and inventors, drawing on tradition to seek meaning in their lives, improve their circumstances, mark their passing and in this way construct culture

The Musée L will preserve and exhibit these signs of humanity and ingenuity in a poetical spirit. It will invite you to partake of powerful and subtle experiences, taking a humanising approach that illuminates by asking questions, using the imagination and remembering. It will allow you, as a contemporary human, to be present in humanity’s past. The existing collections will be used and enriched with anthropological and scientific collections for an across-the-board interpretation and hence understanding of objects from all cultures.
